- 15 jalapeños, halved lengthways, seeds scraped out
- 300 g cream cheese, softened
- 120 g mature cheddar, grated
- ¾ tsp garlic powder
- 75 g panko breadcrumbs
- 3 tsp oil, mixed into the crumb
Steps
-
Preheat the air fryer to 190°C / 380°F.
-
Mix the cream cheese, cheddar and garlic powder, then fill each jalapeño half generously.
-
Toss the panko with the oil and press it onto the filling.
-
Arrange the poppers filling-side up in one layer and cook for 10 minutes — do not turn them or the filling escapes.
-
Rest 2 minutes before eating; the filling holds heat like lava.
