  • 5 jalapeños, halved lengthways, seeds scraped out
  • 100 g cream cheese, softened
  • 40 g mature cheddar, grated
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 25 g panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp oil, mixed into the crumb

Steps

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 190°C / 380°F.

  2. Mix the cream cheese, cheddar and garlic powder, then fill each jalapeño half generously.

  3. Toss the panko with the oil and press it onto the filling.

  4. Arrange the poppers filling-side up in one layer and cook for 10 minutes — do not turn them or the filling escapes.
