- 2 firm apples, cored and sliced 2–3 mm thin, ideally on a mandoline
- ¾ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¾ tsp lemon juice, stops them browning
Steps

Preheat the air fryer to 150°C / 300°F.

Toss the slices with lemon juice and cinnamon, then pat them dry — surface moisture stops them crisping.

Lay the slices flat in a single layer, overlapping as little as possible.

Cook for 7 minutes.

Turn the slices over — they are floppy at this stage and crisp as they cool.

Cook for a further 7 minutes, then cool completely on a rack to finish crisping.
Slices must lie flat in one layer to crisp — expect 2–3 batches from 3 apples.
